These are the rules for using Aurora. By making an account, you're agreeing to them. If something here doesn't sit right with you, please don't use the app.
Aurora is a daily companion app built around an AI conversation. You talk to Aurora, Aurora gets to know you, and that knowledge powers a daily planner inside the app. Aurora isn't a person. It's software running on top of Anthropic's Claude API to generate responses.
You need to be at least 13 to sign up. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian should be okay with you using Aurora.
Use a real password and don't share your login. If you think someone else got in, email n8tiveflowai@gmail.com and we'll help you lock things down. Whatever happens under your account is on you.
Aurora has a free version, and it stays free. Aurora Pro is an optional paid subscription that unlocks the full AI experience. It's sold as an auto-renewing subscription through your Apple App Store account, and here's how that works:
Aurora is not a doctor, a therapist, a lawyer, or a financial advisor. The things Aurora says might be helpful. They might also be wrong. Sometimes both at once.
Aurora also estimates things like calorie targets, nutrition, weight trends, and activity from what you and your connected devices tell it. Those are rough estimates meant to help you reflect, not medical, dietary, or fitness advice, and they shouldn't be treated as exact.
Don't use Aurora to diagnose a condition, decide whether to take medication, or handle a mental health crisis. If you're in crisis, call or text 988 in the US, or contact your local emergency line. If you need actual professional advice, please find an actual professional.
The things you share with Aurora, like your conversations and your onboarding answers, belong to you. We don't claim ownership. We do need your permission to store that data in Firebase and pass messages through Anthropic so Aurora can reply. The privacy policy lays out exactly how that works.
The Aurora app, its name, its design, and its code are all ours. You can use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes. You can't copy it, resell it, or rebuild your own version of it.
Aurora is being actively built. Features get added. The interface shifts. Sometimes the AI underneath gets swapped or upgraded. We're not promising the app stays the same forever.
If Aurora goes away one day, we'll tell you inside the app and give you a chance to export or delete your data first.
If you break these terms, especially the part about harmful use, we can suspend or close your account.
Aurora is provided as-is. There will be bugs. There will be downtime. Sometimes Aurora will say something weird or wrong. We don't guarantee the app is always available or always correct.
To the extent the law allows, Aurora is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Jacob Davis and Aurora aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, or for lost data, that come from using the app. If a court ever decides we do owe you something, the most we'd owe, in total, is the greater of the amount you paid us for Aurora in the twelve months before the claim, or twenty US dollars. Some places don't allow these kinds of limits, so parts of this may not apply to you.
If we update these terms, the date at the top changes. Anything material gets a heads-up inside the app.
You get Aurora through Apple's App Store, and a few things follow from that. These terms are between you and Jacob Davis, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for Aurora or its content, and has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for it. If Aurora fails to conform to any legal warranty and you're eligible, Apple may refund the purchase price to you, and to the maximum extent allowed by law that's the extent of Apple's warranty obligation. Any other claims, losses, liabilities, or costs tied to Aurora, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, and consumer protection claims, are our responsibility and not Apple's. If a third party claims Aurora infringes their rights, we, not Apple, are responsible for investigating and resolving that claim. You confirm you're not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo and that you're not on any US Government prohibited-parties list. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and, where applicable, the state in which Jacob Davis resides, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be handled by the courts located there, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
